A graduate of Napier College of Commerce and Technology, Edinburgh (Diploma in European Marketing & Languages) and Bradford University (BA Hons in Modern Languages), British born Nigel P. Beckett has over 30 years active experience in launching and promoting upscale travel products to the crème de la crème of the European trade.
From the start of his professional career when he represented Bermuda from its European marketing office in London, Nigel has consistently developed his vast network of personal relationships in the luxury segment throughout Europe: selling the Caribbean’s most exclusive resorts (e.g. Cobblers Cove, Barbados; Biras Creek, Virgin Gorda; Jamaica Inn, Cotton House, Mustique) to the UK trade, launching Regent International Hotels in Europe and heading up travel industry sales for Westin Hotels & Resorts in the UK and Continental Europe. As the first employee of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in Europe, Nigel launched that brand in Continental Europe, leading the Frankfurt based sales team for 15 years.
A pioneer of luxury hospitality sales in Eastern Europe, Russia and CIS, Nigel’s network now extends far beyond Europe to premium travel markets in the East, such as Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
Nigel is noted for his speaking ability on subjects relating to service excellence, customer delight and brand loyalty. As guest speaker at congresses, conferences, corporate events, his passionate style of delivery is his hallmark and is consistently highly acclaimed. Nigel personally handles all field activity for his clients. A passionate and convincing sales person in various languages, Nigel speaks German, Russian, Spanish and French in addition to his mother tongue English.
